Christmas Loot

Some presents I received this Christmas (from top left):
tan sweater and matching scarf, super cozy brown sweater that ties at the front, boho necklace style, faux fur (extremely soft) Free People jacket, tan cashmere scarf,
Canon EOS (!!), OPI polish, Burt's Bees hand lotion, Burt's Bees chapstick,
two Betty Crocker's cook books, and two cupcake books (can't wait to bake), Born Crown boots I actually spotted a couple days before Christmas and decided that my excuse for buying them would be a Christmas present for myself. I've wanted a pair of this style boot for at least four years now and never could find one I liked (or one's I spotted at thrift stores that didn't fit me). Continuing on... a pair of chocolate brown thermal leggings and a cute, 50's style oven mitt.

Oh yes... but how could I forget? Our new puppy, "Pippa".

I hope you all enjoyed your holiday, ate some tasty foods, and spent some good time with family.
Up next... New Years!

Baby's in Black

Zac and I have been together for 3 years... can you believe it?
So this Saturday we went on a little nature walk, the same place I went to in this post. The weather was, surprisingly, really nice and not as freezing as it has been these past few weeks.
I wore a black turtle neck and nude shoes bought on sale from The Gap, BDG pants, and a vintage black sparkle top sent to me from my Aunt Paula to model for her store. If you like it contact her for details!
After going on a little walk, we ventured to the thrift store, Savers, and I bought this little electric blue skirt and slipped it on for a little Christmas Part hosted at Zac's house.

Tribal

So... I know I said that the cold weather is my favorite to dress for but I've found that the hardest part is to not just roll out of bed fifteen minutes before class and throw on the coziest thing I can find. For when I do have those days (which have been occurring quite often), I turn to this amazing Kensie sweater  I bought at Nordstrom Rack about a month ago. I'm in love.
The vintage pants are another piece shipped to me from my aunt to model for her etsy store, Very Tres Chic.
I bought the BDG shoes on sale at UO this summer and the origami crane earrings were handmade by my sister message me if you want to buy a pair!

Late Thanksgiving

I'm a couple weeks late on this post because I took all the photos on my dad's camera and forgot to get the photos onto my computer before I left.
Well, here they are, I hope you enjoy this little montage of my Thanksgiving night.
P.S. isn't the dining room perfect?
It sure looks like a million dollar dining room but I had to get my thriftiness from somewhere, right?
My mom is the Goddess of Thrifting.
A few of her finds in this room include the chairs she got reupholstered from a garage sale, green goblets from an estate sale,  and I think she hauled the plates back home on an airplane from a thrift store in Wisconsin.

Zac and I flew to Vegas this weekend for a super classy wedding at the Wynn.
This wedding was for the a daughter of good family friends and I actually went to new bride's sister's wedding this summer. Details of the summer wedding can be seen in this post.
The wedding was a really great time and was beautifully decorated.
I found it quite funny that, being full of big Badgers fans, the wedding party requested a TV to view the game at the reception. The wedding planners at the Wynn said that was their first-ever request for a TV at a wedding party.

I wore a Nicole Miller dress from the Gypsy Den that the owner, kt, hand altered the side openings herself, a necklace made by the same gypsy, thrifted shoes, a vintage leopard coat borrowed from my mom, and a vintage purse I found in a bunch of me and my sister's old dress up clothes.
