MOON BOOTZ

I conquered the snow today without a spot of wetness in my boots with my trusty Moon Boots.
I also wore a BCBG jacket which was my first-ever clothing splurge that I bought when I was in the seventh grade, Hot Chillys leggings (much warmer that your average legging) and, for a splash of color, my new favorite sweater I found at a nearly froze off my ears from the cold, I added my super warm and fluffy vintage hat you can see in this post.

Blanket of Snow

It snowed today!
I didn't wear the greatest outfit today but the snow made for a good picture and this jacket is quite a jem.
For those of you vintage junkies, it's a Hudson Bay Jacket and I got it for only $5 at a garage sale... score!
It's probably one of my warmest jackets.
I'm also wearing a circle scarf that, sadly, lost its life in the dryer (I don't think its supposed to be machine dried) needless to say, I think I'll have to let go and throw it in the trash... its looking a little too dull.
The rest isn't too interesting:
BCBG grey turtleneck
BDG pants
Steve Madden boots
Betsey Johnson socks
Frye Backback from a garage sale

Again, not the greatest outfit, just a good photo op!

New Find

Man, I'm bummed that I havent been posting as much as I thought I would. Zac and I have schedules that do not cooperate with each other so I haven't been able to get photos of all the cute outfits I've been wearing.
Bummer.
On the plus side, I've been hitting up the thrift stores around here and have been hitting gold at (pretty much) every stop.
This is one of my most exciting finds: A vintage camera strap for my new camera for $1.75.
SCORE!

 Until next time,
xo Karina

I'm a little late on uploading the rest of the photos of the vintage clothes my aunt sent me to model for her etsy store but here they are!
It's been quite the eventful week (slash) winter break, and now I have just a few more days left at home till I head back to school.
I'm having mixed feelings about leaving this paradise full of delicious home cooked meals, cozy animals,
sundress weather, and MY OWN ROOM but i'm trying to be optimistic and excited for the semester ahead. Expect to see more frequent posting of outfit these next few months, that is if I have the motivation on those bitter cold mornings at school.

Something Borrowed

Here are a few shots of some clothing my aunt sent me to model for her store.
In the first two photos i'm wearing vintage crochet pants sent from my aunt, a vintage white hat also sent from my aunt, a red tube top bought at Urban Outfitters a while ago, a black cardigan borrowed from my mom, and vintage shoes bought at a thrift store.
In the next photo, i'm wearing the same UO tube top with a vintage red cardigan sent from my aunt.
The last outfit change is a vintage pink cardigan also sent from my aunt.

Recap

Beggar
He's kind of a badass.
Breakfast with Grandma.
Black sweater: my grandma's closet
Greenish/teal shirt: Hand-me-down from my sista
Handmade necklace from the Gypsy Den.
Cold Chillin'
 Sunset.
Pippa in heaven
 Jasmine Green Tea
free people faux fur jacket, zara top, vintage guess shorts from a garage sale,
& Marc by Marc Jacobs shoes from Nordstrom Rack

This photo montage pretty much sums up my week: lots of fluffy animals, indulging in delicious food at home (i.e.:Toblerone chocolate), beautiful weather, acoustic guitar listening, and, of course, driving my Bug!
Life is so easy when you've got no responsibilities. This wont last as long as I'd wish, however. I'm back to school in a couple weeks. *sigh*

Disco Skates

Last night I went to a roller disco night at the skating rink called Crystal Palace with a bunch of friends and decided to spray paint my roller skates gold for the occasion.
The roller skates came from one of Zac's friends who found them somewhere and figured I'd like them and the spray paint was left over from a ceramics project...so these sweet set of wheels didn't cost me a dollar.
The ridiculousness of the outfit I wore was due to the disco theme of the night.
I wore a vintage crochet top given to my by my aunt, sequin shorts on sale from H&M, and tights from Buffalo Exchange.
I was still in the roller skating groove today so Zac, Jeepers, and I went to the skate park and rolled around a bit.
AND I could wear shorts today without being freezing. Yes!
